Marriage Show

These are my views on the marriages nowadays. They can be wrong. I also have/will/might do these things.

Sweets and lots of varieties for the people of whom majority are diabetic or who want to be on diet.

A dress for 50k or more on the marriage day but EMI dress on the tenth anniversary. Hope the one day dress which is never worn after that is worth 10 dresses with the same money.

Fresh makeup rather than a fresh mind when tying the knot on brahma mohoortham. External appearance is given undue importance over the internal state.

Snaps or photos of the moments have become more important than the moments themselves.

It is good to share to the world the happiness you really felt. No need to  put up a show that they are happy.

We have started believing that the photos, dresses, jewels, shows are real happiness than being really happy.

A lakh spent in honeymoon is more  worth than spending it to put up a show for the marriage. he he ;)

Would love to see a simple marriage with no show, minimal makeup, just enough food, daily clothes rather than one day clothes worth multiples of 10k. I still bargain for 10 Rs.

Yes. It is a good opportunity for meeting friends and relatives after a long time, but it can be in a simple way.
